Mt. Bierstadt September 2011

Rodger and I hiked a 14er Mt. Bierstadt on September 3rd with our friends Tristan and Christy, Christy's brother and his wife.

Amy. Those are new pants that I'm wearing that I really like the look of but they swish REALLY loudly when I walk...

This boulder field was no fun at all for me (Amy). I'm afraid of heights and bouldering is really hard for me because I'm so short. Also, I had to pee really badly so Rodger and I went way off of the path to find a semi-secluded spot (notice there are no trees) so that I could pee and it took us forever to get back on the trail.

This was the first 14er that I've done since I was pregnant with Brynn and it seemed really hard for me. My favorite part of this hike was eating out in Denver on our way back home!

For Rodger I think this was the 3rd big hike (2 14ers and 1 13er) in a span of a week or something crazy. You are hard core babe! (Cute too).

August 2011 Pueblo Reservoir

Our friends Vance & Tara and their two girls Mia & Ali came to Colorado to go camping and brought their boat. Tara was so nice and watched Brynn so that Ary, Rodger and I could ride in the boat. Ary was even brave enough to ride in the tube. It was so much fun. Fantastic memories!

Jenni and Brad came to visit in August and she took some AMAZING pictures of the girs. We are so very grateful to her for taking the time to take them for us. I have some more that she took that I need to post but they are on my external hard drive which I'm having some issues with and will post the rest later.

Bison Peak 8/30/11

Bison Peak is one of our favorite hikes and we were thrilled to take Brad up when he visited in September.

Brad & Amy. Rodger and Brad had completed a hard 14er earlier in the week, Rodger had some serious blisters and we were not sure if we could make it up this 13er. Add to that it started to rain and we were worried about lightening but we wanted to much so show Brad the amazing views at the top.

Brad & Amy. The top of this mountain is like no other we have seen. After gaining 13,000 ft. it opens up to the amazing flat space that looks like something out of a movie. Breathtaking and so much fun.
