Hiking at Stanley Canyon - Colorado Springs - We thought this was going to be an easy hike but it was pretty hard especially since Rodger was carrying Ary.

Some of the hike was pretty steep. On the left is a pretty decent drop off. Rodger had to keep bobbing up and down to grab the rocks but Ary loved it. Every time he would dip she would say "ooooo" and smile. I (Amy) am afraid of heights so it was one of those hikes where I was nervous but Rodger and Ary loved it.

June 27th - Dee (Rodger's Dad) and Rodger went to Vail to ride on a zip line as a Father's Day present

July 1st - Playing in the backyard in Garden City, KS at Grandma and Grandpa Scriven's house

June 25th - Rodger and Dee hike Bison's Peak, CO - Elevation approx. 13,000 ft.

The top of Bison's Peak is wide open spaces with beautiful rock formations - it's a hard hike but well worth the suprise at the top.

"Mom, I think you need some pans..." - May 09

We decided to make a built-in bookshelf in the landing of our upstairs stairway that could house all of our books currently in the basement. It was pretty much wasted space. Rodger has never done this before but he did a great job. The deal was he would build it and I would paint it. It took a couple months of weekends to finish it all.

Ary on a slide that we eventually took back because it was too small. We found a great deal on a larger used one on Craig's list but I thought the picture was cute.

April 2009 - It was still chilly. Ary was just learning how to walk. She didn't even have shoes yet.

We put a cat door in between the ground floor and the basement so that the cats could go in and out but Ary couldn't. She likes to peek down there and occationally we will find toys and even her bottle. Now I sometimes hear "Ahhhh - Ohhh" when things are "accidentally" dropped.
