Leavenworth October 2011

Rodger and I drove into Leavenworth to go to the KU vs. KS football game. Yes, of course KU lost. Mom was nice enough to watch the girls and these are pictures she took.

While we were at the game Rodger and I posted comments on Facebook and my best friend Diane from growing up noticed and emailed us asking if we were in town because she was too. Rodger and I were going to leave that night but decided to stay another day to see them. I haven't seen her in years! Here sister was in town and they both had their children with them. Almost the whole group came over. It was a great reunion and was such wonderful timing!

Thanksgiving week 2011

Cindy and Dad came in to visit the week of Thanksgiving and we visited Glen Eyrie and took a tour of the castle. It was a very warm day for November, it couldn't have been nicer.

We decided to shave both of the cats to look like lions. I think the pictures of Gideon are on my phone so I will have to upload those later. It took 3 hours for each cat and I have a scratch on my hand that I think will be a scar. It's a good thing Rodger is so strong. They are both much better to pet now but I think we burned a ton of calories doing it.

Ary was super excited to go trick-or-treating. She kept saying "Come on guys!!!" and then when they got to the door she would say "Everybody hide!" We kept telling her she couldn't do that.

Cousin Hayley and Cooper came to stay with us for the weekend and we decided to carve pumpkins.

Since the weather was so nice we decided to go for a hike with the girls in Mueller State park the first of October.

Aryanna had to walk a lot because since Rodger and I have been hiking so much lately and we are not completely back into shape yet our backs were both hurting carrying the girls. Ary kept asking to go back in the backpack but we kept saying "You're such a good hiker, we are so proud of you" and then both held hands with her to give her some support. She did a great job and hiked at least half of the way even though she was really tired.

Ary loves to climb on rocks. I was standing not far away from this one because there was a drop off the other side though the rock was really wide.
