We decided to shave both of the cats to look like lions. I think the pictures of Gideon are on my phone so I will have to upload those later. It took 3 hours for each cat and I have a scratch on my hand that I think will be a scar. It's a good thing Rodger is so strong. They are both much better to pet now but I think we burned a ton of calories doing it.

Ary was super excited to go trick-or-treating. She kept saying "Come on guys!!!" and then when they got to the door she would say "Everybody hide!" We kept telling her she couldn't do that.

Cousin Hayley and Cooper came to stay with us for the weekend and we decided to carve pumpkins.

Since the weather was so nice we decided to go for a hike with the girls in Mueller State park the first of October.

Aryanna had to walk a lot because since Rodger and I have been hiking so much lately and we are not completely back into shape yet our backs were both hurting carrying the girls. Ary kept asking to go back in the backpack but we kept saying "You're such a good hiker, we are so proud of you" and then both held hands with her to give her some support. She did a great job and hiked at least half of the way even though she was really tired.

Ary loves to climb on rocks. I was standing not far away from this one because there was a drop off the other side though the rock was really wide.

Mt. Bierstadt September 2011

Rodger and I hiked a 14er Mt. Bierstadt on September 3rd with our friends Tristan and Christy, Christy's brother and his wife.

Amy. Those are new pants that I'm wearing that I really like the look of but they swish REALLY loudly when I walk...

This boulder field was no fun at all for me (Amy). I'm afraid of heights and bouldering is really hard for me because I'm so short. Also, I had to pee really badly so Rodger and I went way off of the path to find a semi-secluded spot (notice there are no trees) so that I could pee and it took us forever to get back on the trail.

This was the first 14er that I've done since I was pregnant with Brynn and it seemed really hard for me. My favorite part of this hike was eating out in Denver on our way back home!

For Rodger I think this was the 3rd big hike (2 14ers and 1 13er) in a span of a week or something crazy. You are hard core babe! (Cute too).
